Help Music not recognized in players

I don't know exactly when it started, since I've gone about a week without listening to music on it, but today at the start of my shift I saw none of my songs (344 songs) are available.
I've tried a few different players in case it wad the stock 1 giving me problems, but they all say the same thing. I know the music is there, I can go to them with astro and play them 1 song at a time.

Has anybody had this problem before? When I get home I'm gonna try formatting the card and putting everything back on, but if anybody has any ideas until then that'd be great

This JUST happened to me yesterday. Formatting the card did nothing to help me. Do me a favor and check your clockwork folder and see if your back ups are there. Mine disappeared when the music thing happened

I use rzr, but my backups are still there

Switching roms fixed this, but I'm still curious as to what caused it in the first place.

what rom were you on and what did you switch to?

I had GS Extreme, I don't recall the version, but it was the first version PG implemented GingerFusion. I flashed the LD-ICS 1.1 rom, and the music is back. I haven't tried everything to fix the problem on GSE, so even reinstalling the player might work, but I don't know lol

I've had this happen to me several times as well. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the ROM or the phone verifying files.

Sometimes a reboot fixes it, and sometimes it doesn't. Really frustrating. I'm also on GS Extreme.

Yea I tried rebooting, twice, since our seemed that was all I could do at the time.
I'm using the ld-ics ROM, and the music is working fine. Things you could try though, if you want to stick with GSE:
Reinstalling music.APK
Deleting the mp3s/formatting sd card and put everything back on
Flash the ROM back over without wipe
Wipe system then flash. This, theoretically, should work every time. However I haven't tried any of these so I can't make any guarantee.

Other options you could try: restore an earlier version if you have it (I don't make backups often, just when flashing new rooms and doing anything that might break phone lol)

Wipe everything, and flash anew
