Help Music on external SD Card?

I got a 32GB microSD card for the a500, but I can't figure out how to a) transfer data to it from my computer
and b) use music from the SD card within the Honeycomb music player.

I've been trying to figure this out for a week, to no avail. Help?
 
To transfer the music from your comp to your micro SD card, you will need an adapter that allows the card to be inserted into your card reader.
Alternatively, put the music onto your tab,then move it to the card. You will need a file explorer for this. Astro is a good free one,ans is found in the market.

Thanks! I got the files transferred to the external_SD slot with Astro. But, the Music app is only letting me use music files from the internal memory. Any ideas?
 
Try another music player. If you read reviews on other players you will find what your looking for. Im playing all my movies from my sd card. And I think I played my music before I switched stuff around but Im not sure.

Thanks. Do you know of any in particular that work well and can use the SD card?
 
I just tried playing music from a micro SD and it worked no problem. What are you using to play them? I just used the music player with the headphone icon. Nemo player didn't work.
 
I renamed the folder on the external SD card to Tunes (ie not music). It worked then. Saw this advice on another forum. Can't remember which one ATM.

Edit:It was the miuiandroid forum.
