Music on the Galaxy Tab

Hi,
Probably doing something stupid but when I play audio on my Tab over the earphones, the sound continues to come over the speaker, not the earphones...Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions?

What app are you playing music through? The default music app?

Make sure you push the connector all the way in. I found the first time hooking it up it took a little extra pressure to get the connector seated on the last slip ring.

Woaw, you were right. I thought I'd done that but decided to give it another try. I had to apply *a lot* of pressure but it worked, so thanks!!

I had just the opposite. It kept coming out of the speakers and I tried pushing in harder, but no change. As I started to pull the headphones out, I heard it in my ears, so I tested again and realized I need to not put it in all the way for the headphones to work. Not sure I like that, but I usually listen through BT anyway and was just trying out the headphones.

Using the ones that came with it. I think they have a mic.

I haven't had a problem with mine. I wondered if the ones that came with it had a Mic. I haven't studied them yet. I'll have to take a look. VZW didn't give me anything with the one I got from them. Glad it's going back.
