Help Music playback randomly stops

Happening to me too. I was thinking it might have something to do with the headphone socket. I replaced mine recently, so I hope it isn't playing up. The Galaxy S2 is particularly prone to issues with the headphone socket.

I had a problem with media starting and stopping, and no sound from youtube, although I had sound from ringtones, so I knew the physical speaker worked. After some research, I did a factory reset. No luck. I uninstalled all apps. No luck. So I did a 5 minute battery pull. No luck. Finally, I did an overnight battery pull = remove battery for 8 hours. Woke up, and assembled the battery to phone. My homescreen had 2 old icons that were right on right before I deleted the apps the night before. Maybe there is a buffer stack overflow in the droid deletion routine? (question for the devs). And so to continue, I started up my tunein radio and the sound and program work perfectly! Long story short, just try taking the battery out for 8 hours to fix your phone! ;-)

Hi, I just adapted on my Galaxy S4 my google play-services app. I first deleted all the updates of the program in settings/applications/ all
There I deleted all updates of the google play-services app. After this I could re-update these services, but I don't remember how I did it. I think google will propose the update itself. After this "reset" Google play music" did it again without interuptions.
Maybe I did the same (delition of updates + re-update) with the Google play music app.
Hopely this will be a solution for you.

I've owned this phone for almost a year now, and only got this issue for the first time within the last week.

I found that deactivating the 'Cyberon Voice Commander' seems to fix it

Settings -> Apps -> 'All' (Tab) -> Disable

It's been perfect so far

I have this on my galaxy s4 and have been all over the place and disabled various apps, and contacted Samsung who said to clear the Music app cache and data and if that fails (which it did) do a factory reset (might work but is a harsh solution and pain in the &*s so did not try yet), but since then I have notice that it absolutely happens each time the phone switches from WIFI to mobile data, i.e. if the WIFI goes out or you enter or leave a signal area, and also vice verse, when you got from mobile back to WIFI. This is not a solution, but maybe someone can use the info to figure it out, it is very annoying

Had the similar problem earlier what I did is I uninstalled a recently installed app (Z Camera). I don't know why but after I uninstalled it random music playback pause didn't occur again.
