Help music player on lockscreen

how do i get to the music player controls on the lockscreen?

if youre using the stock music player it should be on there automatically. if you have a different one you probably cannot get it on there

You see that CD fragment at the top with the down arrow on it? Pull that down. Bingo.

For the cubed player its an option you need to turn on under preferences.

I use the stock music player and the pattern to unlock lockscreen and there is no cd at the top to pull down

And i think you cant use the pattern unlock screen to use the music player

Should be a cd at the top, quite odd. But if using the pattern unlock it will not show it though (as you stated)

I used to have an iphone before getting the captivate. It was jailbroken of course and I remember having an "app" of sorts that allowed control of the media player with the volume buttons without having to wake the phone or anything. Does anyone know if there is anything similar to this for android 2.1?
