Help Music player problem

All of a sudden my music player won't play my song and says "sorry the player does not support this type of file".

I have my itunes using tunesync and it has been working fine and this popped up today. I am running froyo, not rooted and it was working fine after the froyo update so I don't think it is that.

Any suggestions???

Let's start with the obvious thing first. Have you rebooted your phone since you encountered this problem? I had a similar problem once and a reboot took care of it.

only current "solution" is to reboot the phone, sorry

I haven't had it do it to me since I performed a factory reset, but YRMV

Do you have Lookout installed ? After I uninstalled Lookout and reset the phone I have had no problems at all, wired or bluetooth.

No lookout for me

try a factory reset and don't let google auto install your info back to the phone

I have this problem with Videos. I could put 4 different avi files on there, all the same type of file from the same source, and 2 could play while 2 wont. Im not sure what the issue is. I know the phone can view them because if I hit advanced edit, it lets me view it in a different way.
