I have been faithfully using mixzing for years for the song identifying feature. It hasn't been working at all for months and I uninstalled to give it a fresh install. Now it won't install. I think it's cause I patched it to remove ads and didn't unpatch it before I uninstalled. Now in just gonna give up on it for awhile.

Any suggestions for a replacement? No stocks please, unless someone can guide me to a way to get Walkman on my note 3. I loved that one. Preferably something similar. Would love of it had lyrics searching built in and would definitely love a song tag identifier similar to Mixzing.

I won't get into the whole "best player" thing again lol but isn't Walkman in play store?
If not it must be available as an apk because I've tried it fairly recently and I don't have a Sony.

yep, it really has to be poweramp

Poweramp has it's quirks in some areas, but in terms of sound quality, yeah, it's pretty much the best of all I've tried.

Play Music is actually very good too, if you turn on the equalizer (it's off by default, don't know why when it gives a world of difference in improved quality), and is good enough to consider not buying Poweramp for.
