As much as I love Google Music, what they don't seem to tell you anywhere (and I didn't think about until I downloaded today's free song *Bowie!*) is that you can't take music out of Google Music. There appear to be some ways (ok, at least one way - JRT Studio: How To Sync Google Music Back To iTunes Using iSyncr) to sneak in and extract the song, but it will be reportedly stripped of all data.
Geez, Google! At least I can put Amazon music into iTunes, and iTunes music into Google Music.
