music - stuttery playback

All I can say is, my reset seems to have done the phone a world of good and I'm sticking to my plan of not adding more apps unless they are genuinely useful.

Today I'm leaving 3G on to see how the battery gets on. I did manually turn off wifi as I know I won't be using that during the day, but I've not bothered adding the power app or any of the utility widgets to turn stuff on & off. I'm just going to let the phone get on with it.

I did notice in Running Apps that only 3 or 4 items show up, whereas previously there were a few more. I have 95Mb free on the phone.

Anyway, I'll post one more update to this later on to say how the battery is doing, but otherwise that's it for this thread!

Rooted Droid Incredible with stock 2.2 ROM. All music player applications skip/stutter regardless of output (3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth or internal speaker), including stock player, and Winamp. The song plays but pauses momentarily/briefly while playing song. Occurs on appx.75% of songs. Problem existed with 8gb class 2 card as well as my brand new 32gb class 4 card. Not running any intensive applications. Very annoying to have almost every song stutter multiple times per song. Love my DINC for everything except music, might just have to blow the dust off of my iPod for music playback, dang it...

P.s... gf's DInc running same exact memory card does not have the problem. hers is hw rev 2 (led, not that it matters) and non-rooted, while mine is rooted rev 3 (lcd).

Just curious as to know are any of you rooted?
Reason I ask is using setcpu you can lower the cpu (bet you couldn't of guessed that)
I did this and set it too low causing music to stutter.

Other wise iv no idea, if post back if I think of anything.

I had this problem and managed to find a workaround using poweramp. In the settings you can increase the cache size. Stoppped my stuttering issues.
