Help Music support

Hey everybody,

I've had my Rezound for about 3 weeks now(second one, first one had a screen problem) and i've noticed something about the phone. Whenever I add new albums, the phone puts a couple of songs in 2 or 3 albums with the same name. So, when I add one album, I get 2-3 with various songs from the same artist on my phone. I have no idea how to fix this, any ideas?

I have noticed this too when I do a group transfer and it includes songs on two or more playlists. Also I have several songs that are on more than one album and this can cause this to happen. I think it is an issue with Microsoft Media Player for me rather than the phone. Or it is a file management issue I cause by not being careful to note how many places I have the bloody song or artist.

I also get a lot of music from Amazon and they download into an Amazon sub folder which I sometimes forget to delete after I transfer the songs to their own folder under the artist.

What I do to fix this is to create an individual folder for each specific song that is affected and just put the song itself into that folder. As a last resort you can just delete the copy from your phone.

I'm old school I guess. I have my music in sub folders under the main music folder. A folder for each artist. I do have sub folders that contain more than one LP by the same artist. I've not noticed any confusion by my players as to what is what. I am using the stock player mostly but also use winamp.

I may have found a solution, I downloaded and installed Itunes, then put all my music in there. I shift-clicked the songs in each album, right-click, get info, then just put in the artist name. This fixed any confusion with my phone and songs that had more than one artist on them.

I just use Windows Media Player. Turn on the create subfolders option and turn off file conversion. It puts songs in Music/Artist/Album. Some players ignore the track metadata, so albums appear in alpha order, but I use PowerAmp which works correctly. Haven't seen anything double up or split.
