Musicus Interruptus...

Finnwn

Lurker
Hi All,
i am new in town and fairly new to the Android lifestyle. I generally reach my frustration ceiling in short order, give up, and move on to something different... it's a lot like dating.

I was an iPhone drone for a year (my longest and dullest relationship). They're not exactly open source are they? No customization, no diversity, no poking around under the hood...if Androids are like dating, an iPhone is stable married life.

I broke up with my Sony Xperia a few days ago and started seeing a Dell Streak 5. He came cheap (can't beat the price of a newly discontinued item).

I nearly chucked him immediately because of the ridiculous UI (the "stage". Ick. I don't like to work that hard; getting rid of those things was beyond frustrating.....ever wonder how absurd functions like that make it into the final design? How did those stages ever survive the Alpha and Beta stages?

I will obey the "don't ask tech questions' here suggestion. But I'll lurk around and find an ideal place to discuss my problem with my music app (hence the subject line)

I am so glad I found you!

Btw, it was never my intention to deride marriage or iPhone afficionados - probaby not that many of the latter on this site :-)

Cheers!

Welcome to Android Forums, Finnwn! :)

I am going to assume you aren't married. ;) Chucking a spouse because they are ridiculous is frowned upon in most jurisdictions.

There may be many reasons why the music player will stop, or hiccup. The best place to root out the cause will be Dell Streak (Mini 5) - Android Forums. Good luck.

Thanx for the welcome!

You're right,I am not currently married...though I see you have a Nexus. I am jaundiced with envy.

If I had a Nexus I would settle down for at least three months...

Thank you for the link to fellow streakers. My music files aren't "hiccuping" - they're fainting dead away. Earlier this evening, my player took it upon itself to play "Magic Carpet Ride" over and over. I think it's time to call an Exorcist.

:-)
