Must Have Android Apps

I have DirecTV and pay for HBO. Can I use HBO GO to watch shows and if so what info do I need to do it? Thanks.

I believe DirecTV was one of the compatible providers that can connect to HBO Go, but I can't remember because TimeWarner isn't compatible yet.

In essence, HBO Go is supposed to allow HBO Subscribers to watch full HBO series episodes on their phone. The only way for you to find out if DirecTV is compatible is to get the app on your phone. I think first thing you should do is make sure you have a login/password for HBO's website. When you download, install and open the app from your phone, it should ask you to log in and also select your provider (e.g. DirecTV).

Anyone know if the evo will get a stock music app upgrade when gingerbread and sense 3.0 come? I like how you can control the stock music player when the phone is locked, but otherwise I really hate it.

Remote Media and Remote pototo does everything a phone should if you have an HTPC

-manage epg
-stream shows, music, etc..
-seek past commercials

Still need Orb for live tv though

I have Directv and I had HBO (cancelled it about a week ago) all you need is your directv user ID and password that you use to log into the Directv website. It worked fine when I had it on my phone.

Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, HDMwIn and Dropbox are some universal root user must haves in my opinion.

ROM Manager and Kernel Manager are pretty nice but they are more of a convenience than anything else. I prefer Amon over Clockwork anyways.

I love:
ShootMe
Firefox
"Kitchen Timer" (Learning how to cook, you can set three different times)
SoundHound (So nice when you're in the car and hear a new song and can get the name)
TeslaLED (Better than the Flashlight App in my opinion)
Telenav (Just moved to MA from MI, so this is a life saver)

Hello all
Been searching to find one good app that combines a password manager and simple note taker. Would Keeper qualify? If not, if this application exists, please point it out to me

Thanks guys.. :D

I downloaded " Live Scores". I like it, but my friend has it for iphone and hers doesnt have ADs and it shows like a text message with the score when there's a alert. Mine just shows an icon in the notification bar. Its the same program but it just seems to be better on her Iphone. is that just how it is for android?? .. Thanks.

I definitely second Astrid, and suggest GPS Test. I am not sure if it is just me or not but GPS Test seems to be able to get a lock when I cant get it otherwise.

My "must have" list includes

1. Firefox
2. Kids TV, not just for our little ones, I love the old Transformers and G.I. Joe
3. Crackle TV. Lots of great shows and anime

I'LLC add to those as I go and I get rooted.
