I just got 2.1 on friday and now i need to get all the apps. What does everyone recommend for cool apps from the new 2.1??

Google Goggles
Google Maps (i.e. Navigation)
Gesture Search
XDA Keyboard
HistoryEraser
Lockpicker (if you use Exchange for email with network securities)

Dolphin HD is good, you could also check out Skyfire and Opera Mini 5 if you want a new browser. Knocking Live for video sharing, and Hoccer for ad-hoc file transfer. Check out LauncherPro too, if you want a home replacement app, I was finding it hard to fill up 7 screens in sense.

I like The New York Times app, Google Goggles, and the Navigation app. The official Twitter app is a lot better than I expected, and can hang with the big boys like Seesmic, Twidroid and Tweetcaster.

Heres my shot at a list:

-xScope Broswer (Actually, I LOVE THIS, Dolphin HD is good, so is Opera but this one stood out for me!)
-SwitchPro Widget (It is a paid app, only .99, imo, its totally worth it.)
-LauncherPro Beta (Yeah, it was listed above, but Its surely worth a look)
-HomeSwitcher (If you decide to switch from Home to Home.)
-Juice Defender (helps save some of my battery)

Everyone says Google Goggles, but has anyone actually REALLY used it? I did when I first installed it, but never again. lol

Dunno... I just installed it the other day! I've used it every day I've had it installed :p

I wanted to try google goggles but every review from the market is bashing it and apparently you can't uninstall it.. so I passed.

Dolphin HD was also horribly slow on my phone =\

Sorry I couldn't offer any info, also checking this thread myself for tips on good apps.

i couldnt really get the hang of shapewriter so i uninstalled it. With goggles, it seemed that everything that i took pictures of, it wouldn't find it or it would give me something way off topic.....so in my opinion, not very useful

Is JuiceDefender working with the official 2.1 release?
I read it wasn't.

I tried it and it uninstalled for me without issue.

Huh - I've used it on household products, books, a set of bass strings and a desktop wallpaper and other then some older books, Goggles got it right every time. Honestly, I wont probably use it often at all, and it does seem more "parlor trick" than useful, but finding that wallpaper finally led me to the artist and more of his work. Pretty nifty, if you ask me!

Dialer One, Love this app
Google Nav Speaks for itself
How far am I Free golf GPS

My Tracks, Radar Now, and Evernote.

First time I have seen anyone mention Radar Now. Superb app for tracking weather, especially if you get outdoors much in your activities. Anything Google I tend to stay away from based on Google's "difficulties" with keeping private information private and other reasons.

:D

Android Porn

it even hides the icon with another name and passwords it... bunch of sick-o's

I did notice you can goto setup and put whatever site you want it to launch
