Must-have apps for Android

Personal opinion, this is a list of Android apps that you should have on your Android device. Of course, there are hundreds of thousands of apps in Google Play, if you like any others and think they are "must-have apps", free to leave a comment below.
1. Dropbox

I'd agree with TB and Root explorer. Drop box isn't bad either.

No Maps on the phone - don't need it. No games. I have a tablet for games, music and videos.

Use ADW launcher. Simply because I couldn't find the main app for Go. All you get are themes for the launcher and I didn't feel like searching through 7 or 8 pages of themes. I did type in Launcher not theme.

Other programs
ROM manager

Audubon Nature Series
Ibird
Mobile Planetarium, etc.

No Google Sky - Skeye works better.
 
I would like to add the Viber application for Android phone.It lets you make free phone calls whether local or international to anyone that also has the application installed. Calls on Viber are free and can be made over WiFi or 3G.

Yeah, guys! I start this thread just want to share my personal opinions about the apps. If you have any other wonderful apps, post here to add the list so that we can enjoy more from using Android device! Thanks!
 
Nice list. here are some of my favorites

Moneywise Pro - for managing your money and bank acct.s.

PowerAMP Pro - I don't really buy anymore music, but do listen to my big CD collections which is stored on my SD card. Can control music from lock screen too.

CoPilot Live USA V9 - Great alternative, to Google maps, for offline navigation.

ColorNotes - Simple, easy to use, can back up notes and check list to SD card and sync to website. No limit how big a note can be. Can place individual notes on home screens. Also, has password protection for individual notes.

Volume Control - Can set up to 3 preset profiles that controls vols for: ringer, notification, system, media, alarm and in-call.

My Data Manager Pro - Easily see and control data usage. Automatically disable data when limit reached.

Timeriffic - Set up profiles for days and times to turn things on and off. Never have to remember ever again.

Bible App by Youvision - Take the word of God every where you go. Can highlight, create reading plans, take notes and save different translations for offline viewing.

CamScanner Full - Scan pretty much anything to PDF format and save to SD card or send by e-mail, text, etc.

Google's My Drive - Cloud storage for Word, Excel, PDF, etc. Can use offline as well.

Quickoffice - View, create and edit word, excel and PDF documents. It has spell check now. Works offline.

ES File Explorer - Easy, Simple and shows all files on phone and SD card. Also, can connect to home network to manage and transfer files. (Haven't figured out how yet.)

Netflix – need I say more.

HBO GO – Need to already have a subscription. Can save movies to watch list to watch later.

Directv Mobile – Control and set up DVR’s to record shows. Check to see what’s on and can now stream movies both free and from premium movie channels.

Grocery Smart - Create and sync list between devices instantly.

Virtual City - Love this game and never get bored with it. Works offline.

Sims Free Play - I just got this, but seems really cool

Fruit Slice and Fruit Ninja - Feel like slicing up some fruit.

Asphalt 6 - Great racing game.

Uno, Monopoly and Pinball HD for Tegra - Yes I know, I have a lot of games. This isn't even half of what I have.
 
Lookout Security (a must have, especially if you grab .apks from questionable sources).

Dolphin HD browser - Just the best browser out there for Android, especially since you can set it to browse as a desktop and not get redirected to mobile sites.

Root Explorer - Great file system client if you have Root access to your phone.

Titanium Backup & Dropbox - Great for backing up your important stuff to "the cloud" (dropbox). You'll kick yourself if you don't have these and your SDcard gets corrupted. I know because I still have the shoeprint on my own arse.


Touchdown for Exchange if you have to connect to an exchange server (i.e. for work)

MailDroid if you want a great regular IMAP/POP client

Netflix and HBO Go if you have subscriptions.
 
Hmm. I wouldn't say that a game is a must have in an Android device, and you have one too many cloud storage options in the list. Overall, I think it's great. Most people don't have a choice with the Maps though.
 
for me, go sms, go launcher x, quickoffice, winamp, and calculator.. lol i dont have an actual calculator and i normally rely on my phone... i think most people do... :P
 
The description of morobo doesn't seem to add any capabilities beyond what we can do with gmail. Am I missing something?
