Must Have Apps

So I finally got 2.2 running fine, but to do so I had to reset the entire phone. Now I am looking for some new apps and I want to know what you guys think are the best one out there. I am looking for everything from games to music to programs.

An indispensable app I found recently is Hopstop. Much better than navigating the site from your phone and the best option I've found for exact subway and bus directions.

Most of the time, I avoid redundant apps that attempt to replace websites. But when I'm running out of a meeting to get to a last-minute appointment, I don't have time for subpages and sprawling graphics. I just want two fields -- one for the departure point and one for the destination -- and a button.

I'm also partial to Pulse as a newsreader and text edit for writing. Rock Video is useful as a can opener for different kinds of videos when necessary. Photoshop Express is decent for editing photos. Beautiful Widget is always nice to have and there's a 3G on-off toggle that's useful as well.

If you have lots of music on your PC at home, and lots of movies stored in mp4 format, you have to get Subsonic. You install one part on your PC, set the directories where your stuff is, then download the app on your phone. With the new Froyo, you can now watch the movies stored on your home PC by streaming them to your phone. This way, you don't use a lot of space on your SDcard to take the ones you choose with you.

Another must have, since the battery issue comes and goes, Startup Auditor Pro.

A few that i find useful are android system info, it will pretty muc tell you anything about your phone and networks, astro file manager, mini info for a quick glance at phone stats (widget), xscope or miren as stock browser replacements. Just to name a few.

PocketCloud: Remotely access your PC or Mac. Very Cool!

CamScanner

SoundHound

No Lock: Turn off your phones screen lock. This is essential IMO.

Pandora

My Tracks

AppAlarm: Turn on any app with this alarm, like Pandora.
