Must use speaker when making/hearing some calls

Hey guys!

First, love my Droid. However in the past few days, something odd has been happening. When I make a call, or sometime when someone calls me, I have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the other end. Apparently, whoever is on the other end can still hear me before I do this, but it is pretty much happening all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? I googled and looked for some kind of setting, but I have not found a solution yet.

Is this after you've used wired headphones or a corded FM transmitter and pulled 'em from the jack?

Sometimes it does happen after I have plugged the Droid into a set of speakers, or into the aux input of my car stereo to listen to podcasts.
