Help MX Player codecs

Hello,

I use MX Player pro for viewing video on my EVO V, will installing any of the codecs that are available make my experience any better? For example; when I view a video in Chrome, it doesn't use MX to watch the video just chromes built it video player. But when I go to watch the same video on my tablet MX will open when I click the link. And yes, I have tried clearing the defaults for both chrome and MX Player. Is that a quirk that chrome has or is that something else.?

I honestly use it to get rid of ads in apps, adaway is nice but I've noticed it messes with some links in the browser and whatnot.

That's true but installing the proper codec for your chipset allows the player to run the smoothest, most efficient video on your device.
