Help My A500 wont boot

adidear

Lurker
I just bought my new Acer A500 today , it was working fine for couple of hrs untill I did a update.

After update it did restart and i was playing NFS and suddenly the screen went black.

After that I did try to power on, but no luck.
I did a reset using pin.

The new behavior is sometime it get started (after trying say 20 minutes) and get stuck at the lock screen.

I was able to access the sd storage earlier after connecting to my PC even the screen is off.

Now when I press the power button, it just glows for a second and turns off immediately.

Please help me how do I resolve this issue.

I don't really know, but it sounds like the battery is flat. Try plugging in the ac charger for at least half an hour and try powering it up.

You said you just got it today.
Did you follow Acer's guide and charge it for at least 4 hours before use?

I did charge it again, but the issue still persists. It does not boot.

Please help. I bought this in US and now I am in India. Even Acer warranty does not apply here.

The screen came up once ..but see lot of flickering and then goes back to dead..

It directly shows only the lock screen ..and touch screen does not work...

There's a way outside chance if you try to do a factory reset it might take it back to before it screwed up. Use the volume control and power button as you turn it on and hold down the volume button as it boots. That might take it back or just clear the cash. Hope it works.

It does not boot. so I cannot do Factory reset. When I plugin in the power, the power light glows white. It is charged full.

Please help
