Help My battery holds up well, except for voice calls

My phone went from 6 AM to 10 PM yesterday (when the battery finally ran out).

I made just under 15 minutes of voice calls, and somehow that ate 30% of my battery life? That is crazy.

Anyone know of anything I can do to fix this?
 
Voice calls seem to be what really kills mine as well, but overall I really do feel that the big battery complaints here are a bit ridiculous. I use the living crap out of this phone and it has yet to fail me within a day as far as the battery goes.

After doing the 'time without service' fix of course :|

yeah, the complains could be ridiculous- or other people might have different experiences than you. :rolleyes: i haven't been able to get past 7pm. when i 'use the living crap out of' it, i'm done by 2 or 3pm.

it's currently 8:41am, and i'm at 75% battery life. i've checked email a couple times. no phone calls, no texts, no web browsing.

This is all due to the sept 16th update. Before the update calls used to be a small portion of eating the battery.

Now its the biggest. Before the screen used to be the biggest consumer of power.

They messed up something in the update.
 
same deal for me. today its 53% of my battery so far. some calls I use speaker due to a work related annoying automated system but the rest aren't and screen isn't on while up to my ear .. wtf ?

Sorry, but it is impossible for anyone to use the phone any differently than I do.

Seriously though, not sure, I've had 20 minutes or so of talk time, so not a ton - maybe it is the voice really killing it. Right now my battery is showing around 75% full and I've installed games (tried to at least, 2 times even), browsed a ton on it, played about an hour of NES games, sent a ton of text messages and some other data-use stuff. To me, that's a pretty solid battery - I've still got plenty left on it.

Though I'm coming from a Samsung Instinct (first version) where doing any kind of browsing or data use applications at all killed it immediately. Who knows, maybe any upgrade is amazing for me :p
