Well, took the plunge and switched phones. Got the LG Optimus F3 at Target (on sale for $79.99). Autotune is gone. Seem to be a nice phone. Much faster.

It looks like the Elite does not play well in some service areas that have been, or are in the process of, being upgraded.

I did the exact same thing yesterday. The phone itself is nice, my one complaint is it seems to have less memory than the Elite, which you could "move to internal memory" and "move to phone", and between the two of those options seems to have more than the F3, which you can't move apps anywhere. Other than that it's better than the Elite.
