My cat is sick

Welcome to Android Forums, @Frankbuster. :)
it's been a long time. Is she healthy now?
We'll know more after we attempt the ultrasound tomorrow. She's acting perfectly normal right now.

I clipped her nails a few minutes ago--anticipating her clinging to me tomorrow--and she reacted like she always does: growling at the clippers and trying to pull her paws out of my hand. :D

Thanks for asking.

Keep us posted.

Getting ready to deal with Dorian right now, so I'll check in to see how's she's doing.

GOOD NEWS!
(in pink, Joy Noelle's favorite color)

My vet and the specialist he transmitted the ultrasound to, found NOTHING!

He called me this morning and his first words were "it's basically all good news." [Okay, heart, you can start beating again.]

He said a bunch of stuff, most of which I only half-heard; I'm making a list of questions I should've asked. I'll call him later and go over everything.

He said that she has a renal deficiency and reiterated that she is in the early stages of renal failure. I asked, aside from feeding her k/d, will she be on any meds. He said no, that if the kidney disease had affected her blood pressure, we would, but her BP is perfectly normal.

I'll know more after I talk to him, like why did she lose so much weight. But right now I'm very relieved and happy. She is NOT knocking on death's door. :D

Thanks to all who've sent healing thoughts and prayers our way. They're very much appreciated.

Well this is good news. Perhaps this was all just a ploy set up by Joy Noelle? She being of superior intellect, was this all just a set up so she'd get a lot more pampering and attention, plus a lot more bonding time? -- in her mind, "...well I want to go a diet anyway so maybe I'll just mess with my human and add some drama for the lulz."

That made me laugh out loud! :D Thanks.

She's definitely very smart--she's the only one, of four cats and a dog, who knows how to open the folding door to the kitchen from either side. But there's a problem with your theory. :o

You see, she ALREADY gets more attention--by a long shot--than anyone else in this house. It would almost be impossible for me to spend any more time with her--she's usually -on- me. I pet her and tummy rub her all the time. :)

You don't think she's getting back at me for those six months we were separated, do you? I couldn't help it; I definitely didn't choose to spend those six months in the hospital...

This is not a good pic--it was snapped in a hurry. It's just to show her today, along with her pink collar and pink tag:

I want to get some pics of her shaved tummy, but need an extra hand or two! :)
