Root My Connect is muted?

Hey all,

I'm new here, so "hey."

My phone is rooted, no rom, using GO launcher, have used the LG Stripper, use the LG optimizer, used SD maid to clean up random files, used root explorer and titanium backup to delete other unnecessary stuff, etc...

I'm currently receiving texts/data/and phone calls. Everything is working perfectly, except there is NO SOUND whatsoever coming from my phone and it's not vibrating. I've got it off silent mode, all volume controls are up, but I can't hear incoming phonecalls, they can't hear me, notifications aren't making noise, music player isn't making noise, keyboard (with sound and vibrate ON) is not making noise/vibrating, and nothing changes when I plug in my headphones.

Whaaaaaat is goin on here.

I had the same issue before, when I first rooted etc.You should try installing Brokenout Rom,or flash back to stock and try again.I would recommend flashing broken out via CWM though.

And there's no random quick fix for the sound thing? some switch or something I may have accidentally hit without knowing?

You may have either turned media volumes down (either with an app or menu/settings/sound) or deleted the /system/media/audio folder.

Try changing your ringtone, if you have no options you may have deleted the folder.

Also, try volume control application from the market and see if that works.

Volume's good, media folder's there, all golden on those fronts... volume app didn't help. But I just deleted metroweb anyways, so it looks like I need to factory reset/unroot/re-root/re-strip/rom-up anyways, so hopefully somewhere in that process I'll get sound back, haha.

If I recall you NEED metroweb,I know its just the browser but it helps for something.Just dont recall what,Anyone help me out on this one?

All set! Backed up with Titanium, unrooted/restored stock stuff, re-rooted, re-stripped, left well enough alone, and now I'm golden!

Sends you this great little message "android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly" and makes you force close--and it happens randomly throughout the day.

Really? I only noticed it after an application hits 100% download but before it can instal/update.

Started that way, haha, but then it would hit me randomly while in settings, eventually started happening when I simply OPENED up the play store, and after that just started happening whenever it felt like it. It was like a technological snowball effect.
