Root my contacts "app" is gone

My contacts "app" I guess what you would call it is gone. My contacts are still there in terms of texting, calling etc. But the orange icon that says contacts is gone. When I hit the contacts tab on the top of the phone area it says force close. Is there any way to get this back other than a factory reset. I had Darky's V 8 rom and everythign was working perfectly but then all of a sudden that app was gone.

I'm not 100% certain because I've never done it, but I would think SGS tools could do it.

Your going to need sgs tools. In the main menu of sgs tools there is an option to update stock apps. This provides a download of the stock contacts app with minor modifications, as it states, you may need to reboot after the installation.

Yea i tried that and it did nothing. When i tried to reinstall the contacts app via backup it says oculd not install. I ended up just reflashing the rom and everything is perfect. Thank you for you help though.
