For those of you flashaholics out there, I will list everything I have in my setup and maybe some of you can achieve similar results (i have flashed and used every Rom from jmz odex stock, midnight sense/senseless, mobsters both hd/lite, mobsters wildcard, harmonia, negalite blurom) and now here's where I ended up. And I never applied the OTA update. Special shout out and thanks to Ramjet! His instructions and various feedback and assistance on here and xda are soooo simple to follow-- You are a godsend! Big thsnk you to jmz for his awesome kernel! Huge thanks to Lakersdroid for his build.prop! cocheese101 for MMS fix


No, I am NOT S-Off I'm not "stupid" LOL I just learn by making mistakes and do things my own way which may be redundant to some of you but anyway, I am on Hboot 1.57 S-On and just decided to rewind and go forward here you are:

1.) Flashed SetMainLowVersion found here

2.) Relocked bootloader/Ran VM RUU found here

3.) RUU Completed, I applied the OTA and all other updates then I went back and reflashed my unlock code.bin file and flashed TWRP, continued and installed 4EXT Recovery (this is a must have for those who are S-On)

4.) Decided to try Viper3d latest build r330, after basic setup, I replaced the build.prop with a fixed build.prop and now Opera Mobile, Chrome Beta, everything now works for me.

Simply copy/paste over the current build.prop in System, fix permissions, rebooted into 4ext wipe dalvik and cache.

5.) MMS works as well thanks to cocheese101!

Simply replace former EPST in System/app and you don't need to fix permissions just reboot then ##3282# and edit mode then enter your MSL if you are this far you should have it by now! Enter in MSL when prompted for it then go to Advanced, MMSC and replace current sprint MMSC with http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?

Your MMS will now work.

Now onto my final setup-- I decided not to use anthrax kernel or ziggys kernel instead I flashed JMZ's kernel (very stable) found here

I am running STABLE with no issues boot loops no freezes at a staggering 1.9ghz and both cores running Smartassv2! I am on stock PRL 61009 I have never changed the prl it's pointless when I'm getting consistent 120-150kb a SECOND DL speeds w/ OTA, ViperRom, and data tweaks. I'm currently browsing and downloading playstore apps faster than ever before! YouTube videos load quickly in HQ/HD.

After everything was setup, I added this to the build.prop then wiped dalvik/cache in 4ext

Finally, after this, I closed it out by editing info in EPST ##3282# or ##data# if you will

Under data profile primary and secondary home agent should be zeroed out, then under EVDO "CDMA HDR Only", under advanced Slot Cycle Index 2, go down to RTSP/HTTP SETTING, the IP fields should be 0.0.0.0 and both ports need to be 0. One less proxy/VM Sprint loophole to worry about! Commit changes, reboot and enjoy!

I have NEVER hit download speeds this fast through Sprint or VM and this is coming from a former Triumph owner. I am consistently between 70 KB/sec to 150 KB/sec!

Hope some of you achieve similar results!

The build prop you could apply those data tweaks I posted otherwise I'm not sure if you can access EPST through CM I'm not too familiar with that Rom on the EVO 3d/V

Edit: I added the data tweaks and edited the EPST and not seeing a change in download speed running 3G. Where did you get the data tweaks from?

Here's a question.

How's your battery life? If you're running both at 1.9ghz I don't imagine it being very good.

Do you have the stock battery, or extended battery?

Stock battery and actually battery life is really good. 6am 100% dropped to 30% by 1:30 and then heavy use from 1:30 to now-- I'm currently at 13% and still going. I do however have other tweaks that improve battery life and build.prop settings also. I keep screen brightness at a low setting but visible and I lower capacitive brightness on the buttons, no haptic feedback whatsoever no auto sync, no auto updating, etc, one home screen w/ everything organized in folders, one widget. Viper3d+Jmz Kernel is pretty sick. This is the only setup I haven't had an issue running OC @ 1.9Ghz x2.
 
Did some more tweaks, everything is stable, no choppiness, no freezes/FC's, no issues, battery life is good 100% to 75% in an hour and a half of heavy use. Here are my latest benchmark results.

I'm surprised myself. It's consistently scoring on or around there. I might add, I flashed Cool Z's EVO 3D kernel. I felt like I wasn't getting the most out of Jmz's Mac Version. Viper3D + Cool Z Kernel is a match made in heaven lol.
 
Tried the moar tweaks on cm 10.1 but it seemed to break my data. Not sure it's was just a geek thing or what. Anyone else tried those on that rom?
 
WOW insane scores! very impressed! I am going to look into doing this. Sick of Jellybean the newer the firmware gets the more buggier it becomes lol. Deciding to drop back to to Viper and saw this. Awesome work.... Ironic I'm the one who started the "Viper Rom = The best" lmao and low and behold someone tweaked it and is getting the BEST scores hahaha. rockin.

I love the viper ROM and cool z kernel combo but my big two gripes are one, battery % doesn't display correctly and two, I seem to get the airplane mode glitch a lot. I don't know how to fix that. Wiped dalvik/cache fixed permissions and still have the issue. only work around is factory resetting the ROM.
 
An update: turns out was not moar tweakz that messed up my data and 4g. Was apparently flashing cross breeder that did it. Got it uninstalled and tweaks readded and no issues thus far.
