Root My Droid X with 2.3.3 rooting question.

Please forgive my ignorance. I am new to the forum and I'm sure this has been covered a million times. I have tried searching before posting, but it's like reading another language to me. Hopefully someone here can guide me.

I have a Droid X with android version 2.3.3. I want to root my phone. (At least that's what I think that I want to do) The main reason I want to root it, is to tether a mobile hotspot to give my ipod free wireless. Is this possible? If so, where can I find a laymens step by step tutorial?

3 reboots of your phone, thats all i can tell you, each phone is different, maybe 1-2 minutes

So I started following the instructions and downloading all of the files needed but for some reason I can not download the " Psouza4's 1 Click Root " file. It seems to be a dead link.

Trying to instal RSD Lite 5.4.4.. I unzipped it, started to install it, and it keeps saying.
