My Electro Magnetic Field

ZepTepi

Android Enthusiast
I have had a higher than normal(based on my conversations with other owners, Sprint techs, and reviews) # of phone issues for the last 6+ years. I've had 5 different models of phones and 11 phones total(The 5 original models + replacement phones). Although I've had a few accidents(drops on hard surface or in water) over the years most of the phones have been kept in pretty good condition. I've had a multitude of reasons given to me as to why I've had all of the issues I've experienced such as "You've downloaded to many apps", "The network is bad", and "You keep it in your pocket" to name a few, but none of these explain either fully explain my issues or I'm told these are bogus causes when I speak to techs or other owners. Recently I've had a couple people tell me that, while rare, some people's electro magnetic field can cause problems with thier phones.

Can I get some opinions on this?

Did the person who told you that suggest that carrying a crystal would fix it? Or that your aura was the wrong colour, or that it's bad feng shui and you should put the phone in a different pocket? It's the same type of "thinking" as those "explanations".

I don't know what phone models you've had (some are less reliable than others), but amongst the millions of phone owners some will be unlucky a number of times. Picking the person who has a run of problems and blaming their EM field is like picking the person who won a lottery and saying they must have special number-choosing powers (and their saying "it's rare..." is a give-away to start with: is it significantly more common than chance would predict, from the overall reliability figures for phones? If not there is no need to look for any further explanation).

possible......no

bad luck.......maybe

are all devices perfect.......no

I agree with John Bean that "extremely unlikely" seems more likely than "impossible".

I can't rule out bad luck but that thought doesn't lessen my desire to figure this out.

A perfect device does not exist.

No talk of crystals either serious or not.

I've had the following smart phones:

  • HTC Touch Pro 2
  • HTC Hero
  • HTC Evo 4G
  • HTC 4G LTE
  • Samsung Galaxy S4 (Current device)
When they functioned as they should I really liked the HTC phones after experiencing the number of issues I did with the 4G LTE I decided to give the S4 a try.

Well, every phone my gf has owned has had screen problems, unresponsiveness, lag, and phones heating up ridiculously hot. She's not a heavy user, facebook, instagram etc kinda user lol.

One day she needed to use my nexus 5 (which has worked flawlessly since the day it was released) for about 15 mins or so. While she was using it, the screen wouldnt work, and the phone became really hot. All she was doing was browsing on chrome.

Funny thing is she was using my phone, because her phone was being repaired by HTC for screen problems that was starting to happen exactly the same on mine. As soon as i took the phone from her, it started behaving fine again and the temperture dropped to normal.

So make of that what you will!
