Help My Epic 4g is falshed thru cricket and....

the only problems im having is....

no voice mail indications when someone leaves me a message

and I cant download or send pics via text message



they told me the picture texts probably wouldn't work but whats up with
the vm indicator? are there any settings i can mess with i checked the
voicemail settings everything looks normal so i dont know but i seen on other forums when browsing google people got it to work on cricket service

looks like it happens to alot of droids on a cricket flash


anyone know?
 
no not yet, i was about to install it as a last resort but not really sure how it works
where can i find the stock app?

i tryed calling cricket to do a reset on it over the phone but they said they were to busy (holidays) someone would call back... didnt happen... there tech support blows

but how does google voice work?
 
Not sure how Cricket works, but I'd imagine you can see the VM app in the app drawer?

Google voice is an app on the market that you can install and rather then sending your messages to Cricket, your calls are forwarded to a Google Voice number that will send your messages to the GV app.
 
is there any kind of delay using GV over cricket? does it dial a google number first or will it look like a regular call... that was my only set back on trying GV
 
I just use GV for voicemail and ONLY voicemail. I don't use it for making/receiving calls.

I'm not on Cricket, so I can't tell you for sure.

Were you able to set up GV on your Sprint phone, so that it would be the default voice mail app? I tried, but got a message saying not available with Sprint.

Yes. I can't recall the message I got but sounds familiar. Works fine though.
 
it could be they way it was flashed. I was with Cricket for 2 years and had a Moment for some of that and my pictures messages didnt work, I would have to use email for any pictures or videos I had. On a side note, Cricket will probably never give you tech support for your epic. I was told many times that they cant help with any problems I'm having.
 
its telling me to call *285 189 458 466 to set up my GV VM but i keep getting a message sayin the use of this feature is not avail please call 611 from your cricket phone

basically GV dont work with cricket? :(
 
Unfortunately, that's all the help I've got on this scenario. Hopefully you can get ahold of someone at Cricket who may have more knowledge on this problem.
