The GB source code LG provided was actually very useful for kernel building. Getting a ROM built around it was not so much. At 720p, our device should have never came out with GB to begin with. It was a hack job on the drivers to say the least.

Sorry for the late response but the answer is yes. You will also have to flash the proper baseband though because you may get roaming on the v6 baseband.

I think he just meant to go from gb up to jellybean by flashing in recovery. I've personally used cwm to flash back and forth and it works fine but you just need to make sure you have the right radio files.
 
btw I'm still running beta 4 and it's amazing. I've hardly seen a hint of lag or delay. It's running super stable and smooth. Two days down and no reboots. Hopefully it will hold up. I'm definitely sticking with it for now.
 
Yeah i flashed the baseband already on GB, and wow beta 4 is awesome didn't know how amazing this is compared to the official night lies, tdm really knows how to make smooth ROM
 
On either of the beta 4s aokp or cm the screen wouldn't turn off with power button or by itself so now I'm rc4 and it's running smooth

Personally, I'm not seeing what all the complaints are about. I'm on the PAC from a couple of days ago. I get, what seems like, pretty decent battery life as long as I'm not enclosed in a steel box (aka a ship) where there's no signal. I havent really noticed much lack of smoothness except for when some apps take a moment to load (that's the app's fauly usually not the rom).

Though, to be fair I do also run V6supercharger set to zipalign and vacuum all my databases each boot. I'm also working on tweaking a kernel with features from windkernel. So that could also attribute to some of it. ;)
 
I'm still on beta 4 and don't have any issues with the screen turning off.

As far as smoothness goes nothing I have run even comes close. I might try the latest cm10.1 but right now I'm happy with beta 4 because it's running extremely well so far

The latest 10.1 is great but, I needed BT stability and every time I left my car, and came back, I would have to reboot my bluetooth. That was getting old. This connects and stayed connected. When I leave and came back, it connects.

So I'm digging it. I just can't figure out where to change my phones name.

Duh! In bluetooth, hit the menu button and there, you can rename your phone...... Shhheesssh
 
Sooooo been a little bit quiet here lately.... Any thoughts on running the BO 3.0 ROM? What's the highest gapps we could run with it?

Yeah, the spectrum subforum's been really quiet this past week or so.

Almost like everybody's upgraded, or gone on vacation :p

well for me I don't take vacations, but I should be upgrading this coming november. So I should be around until then, that is of course unless my phone breaks before then and I have to buy another, and even then I'll probably end up with another spectrum since they go for so cheap.
 
So AZ...are you still running the 10.1 ROM or are you on GB?

Still trying to figure out if I should just stay with the CM 10.1 b4 or if I should play around with a GB rom or two

beta 4 is the best. I'm still rocking it and have no plans of changing. It's just so smooth. I haven't had any reboots either. Once I unplugged my phone from the charger and speakers at the same time and it froze up, but other than that it's run great. I have been gaming a lot on my phone lately as well and it's running awesome. No lag or force closes in games. Even when I leave a game after playing it for an hour or more my phone is still smooth. I think beta 4 is by far the best rom this phone has.

Cool.... I may still just play around with GB for old times sake LOLOL and then probably reflash 10.1b4
 
I left GB it was just to old, it was smooth, and great but I missed all of the newer features and GB my battery actually wasent that great, so now I'm the latest cm nightly, I wish I could flash cm beta 4 but my power button does not seem to want to work on that ROM, it really sucks...
