Root My experience in downgrading to GB ZV6

I left GB it was just to old, it was smooth, and great but I missed all of the newer features and GB my battery actually wasent that great, so now I'm the latest cm nightly, I wish I could flash cm beta 4 but my power button does not seem to want to work on that ROM, it really sucks...

what do you mean that your power button doesn't work?

Also... keep in mind that the last time you had gb on your phone... the battery was also brand new. When you installed ics or jb out already had a year wear on it.

I would get reboots on the roms but stock was very stable for me. It was just laggy. I flashed back to beta 4 of cm10.1 last night and man is this thing smooth. I thought pacman was smooth but beta 4 blows everything away.

From where did you download beta 4? The one I used is named quattrimus-iproj-cm10.1-beta4 and it gave me nothing but problems.

Did you do a clean flash? I agree with IMU that it's the most stable JB ROM we've had, AOKP is close for me, I use it because of the ribbons but it has issues sometimes too...

clean flash, yes. I always clean flash new ROM. I've tried them all and each one had some minor probs and at least one major one that prevented me from sticking with it. On PAC now. It acts a little funny sometimes (mainly the status bar and my wallpaper disappearing) but it's holding up the best so far.

My 2 cents: reboots can be eliminated by decreasing the peak CPU speed by small amounts (until it's stable)
OTA's can be stopped by freezing the "System Update" app
