Help My favorite widget is GONE

emren

Lurker
When I first got my DroidX, out of the box it came with a widget on the homescreen for my favorite contacts. I deleted it on accident and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back. I've done much googling and fiddling and I still can't figure it out.

What am I doing wrong?

are you talking about the widget that can be a one touch dial / txt?

if so, long touch on the user interface page you want it...go to widgets...then select contact quick tasks

Contact quick tasks is just for one particular contact, as far as I can figure out. I was looking for all of my favorites. What I deleted was a red star that said favorites and when you selected it, it immediately pulled up my favorite list. In this way, I could call any of the people on my favorites in 2 clicks.

I did the same with my new Android Inspire and now I can't for the life of me find the favorite contacts list!! I've been an iphone user so I'm new to EVERYTHING about this phone! Can anyone help me recover the widget, app, shortcut or whatever it's called?

applemac got it right. More specifically:
Long press home screen -> Shortcuts -> Dialer -> Favorites

... That will get you the coveted red Favorites widget with the white star.
