Hello everyone. I'be been lurking for a week here, trying to learn Android and my new awesome EVO. I'm loving it so far, but I'm still working out my battery issues.
I downloaded and installed Battery Indicator, which provides a battery life % in the status bar. When I was at 35%, I shut off 3G, 4G, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. So the only thing left was the phone itself. I turned off the screen and actually got some work done for an hour
I didn't touch the phone at all during that hour. Then I checked the battery and I was down to 25%.
I had read that some folks here are losing only around 1% an hour when idle, so does anyone have any ideas for what else I can do? That's a big battery loss when the phone is just resting untouched with no internet connection.
