Root My flash hasn't ever worked

When I turned in my last Esteem under a warranty return I didn't notice until later that my flash would not work. Not rooted or unrooted, modded with multiple mods. I even took apart my brothers old Esteem and put his flash part on my phone and still got nothing...

So is this software or hardware and can it be fixed?

Is it set to off in the camera settings ?

unless there is another setting besides the app itself I have it turned on. I have even modded the camera app with the 30fps app but I can't figure it out for nothing.

hardware or software and what's the fix.


Its funny I have a new cannon rebel that's nice but I hate that my phone isnt readily available.

Can u get it to work with a flashlight app ?

I have and again no luck. I'll try anything keep em coming.
