Root My htc m8 stuck at white HTC logo screen

Hi all,
So here is my problem:
I used One-click to root my HTC for a long time ago. Then it was 2 or 3 months ago, there is an update call the "Security update" or something like that, I tried to install it but it failed everytime.
So I followed the instruction in this link
youtube.com/watch?v=PPPT5J8xG6w
But after that, the installation of the update has run but after it finished and reset, it can't boot to the phone. It stucks at the HTC Logo screen and then the screen is blacked out.
I really need it for my school so please help me. I am not familiar with these technical things.
Here is the information I got when I get into the boot loader:
***Software Status: Modified***
***Relocked***

Please help me!
Thank you very much

Also I'd highly advise you not to use one click root apps. If you're going to root you need to install a custom recovery and flash SuperSU. It's super easy to do and there are tons of tutorials, written and video, on how to do it. You'll be an expert in an hour.

I don't think that a factory reset will help in this case most likely as it will not undo any changes to the system partition. All it does is wipes user data.

Taking an OTA update while rooted is never recommended and this is exactly why... You will most likely have to reflash the system to fix this.

The best way would be to find the correct RUU for your device and flash the stock rom back to the device. If no RUU is available, you may need to install a custom recovery and flash either a custom rom or find a rooted stock rom.

I'm a little out of the game with recent HTC devices so I won't be the best person to make rom suggestions but will help you locate an RUU for your device.

Do you have the AT&T version of the M8? That's what I gathered from the device info you posted. Is so, you can find the latest firmware from HTC here. Download is at the bottom. I would suggest reading all of the instructions and following all the steps they suggest. In other words, don't skip anything. ;)

If you don't have the AT&T variant, take a look at this page and find the one you need.

Also, as a side note, if HTC is providing the latest updates available, this RUU should give you the update your phone was pestering you about. Also note, that you will be starting from complete scratch after an RUU install, but you must likely will with any recovery method at this point.

I think, unfortunately, you are correct here but at this point it won't hurt a thing for him to factory reset from fastboot menu and (I forgot in my first post to say) boot to recovery from fastboot menu and factory reset from there as well as this will wipe the dalvik cache. I've seen this work for some after FW upgrade and judging by his info the flash did work. There's a slight possibility the factory reset will work but if not, you're right. It's Ruu time.

Good point. It will definitely not hurt anything to try and will be a lot simpler if it works.
