Help My HTC thunderbolt isn't send big text please help!!

When I try to send a big text (approx 100 characters or more) it wont get through to the person on the other end of the line. when I send it out I end up calling the person asking if he/she got it & they would say no.

I have a feeling it was advance task killer that caused it, because i had the same problem on my droid incredible. I did delete ATK but the problem is still occurring. Someone please help me!

No. sometimes I use spanish in the texts (which cuts the normal 160 characters to 70) but I send a text which sometimes comes to two texts in one send, & I find out the person never received it.
