Hi Elias6712, 250 Euros is steep, more than the phone is worth.
When you press Menu > Settings > About phone > Battery use > Phone idle on mine reads 100%.
If there is no usage of the phone - that's what I see - normal. (U8800)
I have my Ideos U8150 in the same mode (battery use) and the readings are:
Android System 79%
Cell standby 8%
Wi-Fi 8%
Phone idle 7%
Which gives a total 102%?
From your description of 30% then 11% then 0% when trying to charge the battery - I feel that your charger must be faulty.
Lithium-Ion batteries in these phones should be kept in a state of charge between 40 - 80% charge for best operation and life of the battery.
If you allow the battery to go completely flat - the chip (circuit in the battery) may Shut down completely. The battery is still OK - but you will need to have a good working wall charger.
The battery needs to be put on the charger and left to charge fully again.
I recently had this occur. I gave one of my U8150 phones to my grandson for Xmas 2012. In February 2013, he was in trouble with a flat battery that wouldn't charge!
His Dad bought a new battery and installed it, and just two weeks ago, my grandson left the phone with me because the battery had gone flat and wouldn't charge.
I put the battery into a wall charger and left it to charge fully - 10hours later it was as good as gold.
The reason for two batteries going into shut down mode, was not keeping the battery on charge when not in use at home or work.
I was annoyed in February when his Dad threw away the battery as it was brand new when I gave the phone to my grandson.
I've given instructions to my grandson to shut down ALL unnecessary Apps and Systems. ie. Wi-Fi, Broadband, Data enabled, 3G, Animations when not in use, as these will drain the battery.
I've made a point with him to keep the battery in a good state of charge and not to flatten the battery. Unlike Ni-Cad batteries, Li-Ion batteries do not develop a memory, so charging at any time the phone is not in use, keeps the battery in good order.
The battery may still require renewal about every 12 months. dependent on your use of the phone. I purchased my first U8150 in November of 2011 and have not renewed the battery yet.
Naturally it is not a high use phone, but comes in handy on the golf course with GPS.
Try and charge your battery as I suggested and let me know if you have success. Cheers Neil.
