Help My infuse won't turn on with a strange image on the screen

So I accidentally unplugged the USB cable while letting my Infuse on its download mode, and when I tried to turn it back on (regular way or up+down+power buttons) this strange image of phone with a warning sign (! inside a yellow triangle) and a computer (I guess it depicts the phone having error with connecting to computer although it's not plugged to a USB cable) and it will just stay there.

I have tried removing and re-inserting the battery many times but it has not worked.

Please help!

Hi mimidec. You might try using Kies. Go to tools, select firmware upgrade and initialization. Follow the instructions. Hopefully it will reload your system.

Thanks for the tip, the phone turned back on but it no longer reads any sim card. :(

When I checked the IMEI, it came out null/null. Any idea why that happens?

It sounds like the EFS folder that contains IMEI information is corrupted. If you didn't have a backup I'm not sure how to fix it. :(

I had the same issue last week. I called Samsung and started a trouble ticket. They sent me an email with a UPS Mailing label and an RMA number to write on the box. I shipped my phone off on Monday the 13th and had it back on Friday the 17th. It just needed reflashing! I'm told that that particular screen is another form of Download Mode, but I was never able to get it to see my PC no matter what drivers I used. It was simpler, and cheaper, to send it to Samsung for repair. It cost me all of $2.74 for a box and packing material to ship it. Samsung paid for the shipping and re-flashed my phone for free and I even told them I had broken my warranty by rooting the phone!! I say call them and throw yourself on their mercy like I did! It can't hurt.
