I retired from the IT field after 30 years and this is my first experience with Android; I am still struggling with basics. :confused: I purchased two tablets, Archos (mini tablet) for my wife & a Cruz T301 for myself just to see what they are like & trying to keep up with the ever changing times.

I worked with UNIX, LINUX, Windows, and various other platforms so I figure that unless I have too many senior moments I should be able to get through this.

Android is just a nice UI on top of a Linux kernel, so all of the basic computer concepts you know and love are still there. Check out your device's home forums here at AF (and other forums, too--lots of great information and folks to help you all over the place):
