so this thread started just to mention the screen brightness issue but its obviously turned into a rant so ive edited it accordingly. here we go...
first let me mention the screen brightness issue. well it always resets itself to full brightness every single time i leave the camera app. anyone else notice this?
its beyond annoying just like so many other bugs after gingerbread. the htc/loading screen being the worst of course. the random i dont have enough memory issues. and the even before gingerbread text message screen shift issue. the ONLY good thing gingerbread did was add an actual call duration to the call log. but is that worth all these other issues? everything else is cosmetic and absolutely unnecessary. really want to do a factory reset to be honest just dont want to deal with having to set my phone up all over again.

edit: oh and whenever i mount my phone as a hard drive to the computer it resets itself to charge only while im browsing the contents of my phone on my computer. so essentially i have to remount the entire thing. its taking several tries anytime i want to load anything on my phone.
edit2: mentioning the htc/loading screen issue again, sometimes when the screen comes up i'll simply put the phone down for a second to give it a second to do its ******ness then pick it back up when its done. well i have the habit of always turning the screen off whenever i put my phone down to save a little bit of battery. but when i turn the screen off, and then pick the phone back up and turn the screen back on i always discover that the loading is exactly where i left it. this is such a dumb bug that it cant figure out its loading stuff while i have the screen saver on. seriously htc/android? i loved this phone when i first bought it but youve made it so frustrating to use now.
edit3: why am i not surprised that ive found another bug today? grrrrr. so to fix the text message screen shift issue ive been using handcent since the beginning. well today ive noticed that when i finish typing a text message and then turn off the screen the message does not actually send! i actually have to wait for it to finish sending before i turn the screen off if i want it to go through. HOW STUPID IS GINGERBREAD THAT IT CANT SEND A TEXT MESSAGE AS A BACKGROUND TASK?! ive seriously just about had it.
