My issues with the S3

I would like to just point out the problems I have with my phone. For people who want to know and have been asking. But I would like to also say not even of the problems is major and these are just tiny issues and I'm sure any other phone on the planet has more bugs.
1. Home screen redraw when I press the home button after browsing g or Google maps or some of the apps
2. Apps to external sd card
Ok crap thought there were more.. Maybe I'll update it when I think of more. What about you guys? What are the things on you phones which you are not happy with?

Apps ( not ) to SD card is an ICS thing not an S3 thing.

Oh are you sure? Cause i thought thats just an excuse which samsung gave as apps still get transferred to sd on s2 and note which are upgraded to ICS from GB. And I believe this works on HTC One X too

Camera sucks,no its actually really good when you realize you have to use the correct settings for different environments when taking pictures. It took me awhile to figure that out, went to a corporate sprint store and they showed me all the different settings and what there to be used for. I was blown away.Use the right setting and the picture turns out great for a camera phone

Ok remembered another issue. The contacts or call log or even dialer takes like 2-3 seconds to load. Which is really frustrating. What about you guys? Do you get it instantly on opening these applications?

I never noticed it till you pointed it out

Camera is not as good as I was hoping. Early on I was reading lots of posts saying that the camera was as good as the iPhone 4s, and I'm sorry, but for me, that's just not the case. If I get a chance, I'll post comparison photos later today. Colors are off in low light... There is a blue-ish tint, which reminds me of my Droid 3 that I had for a few days (I think that was the one). The camera seems only marginally better than the Razr Maxx. I've been playing with the white balance, and ISO settings, but so far I haven't found any magic combination.

Also, I'm having problems with notifications interrupting whatever I am streaming for a really long time, or even to the point where I have to stop and restart the app I'm using. This is really annoying!

Other than that.... I basically like the phone. Still miss my iPhone, just for the way some things just work, but it would be hard to go back to a tiny screen and no widgets!

Camera is OK for me, I have no complaints.
I have all the apps on the phone.

As for lagginess? None and I'm a week into the phone. This actually is more responsive than my old iPhone 4 and is lighting compared to my Droid D-d-d-does, the king of lag. This is my 2nd Android phone and here is my suspicion (I have no evidence to back this up) but the Play apps vary WIDELY in quality and I feel like some of them, although useful, may not be the most efficient apps written and contribute to lagginess.

So on my GS3, I only download apps from reputable companies, i.e. New York Times from the actual New York Times vs. NY Times ReADER! by Richard Reece.

I think you're probably right about the quality of certain apps affecting the performance of the phone while those apps are running. That's the thing about open source, I guess. But reputable companies aren't going to improve your overall performance. Facebook, while much better than it used to be, lacks efficiency (seriously, are they ever gonna smooth that thing over?). Apps like WatchESPN can be straight terrible at times (when it's working).

What I'd recommend is checking the reviews. Take note of how many reviews have been written and read through some. The public will let you know how they feel. lol

As for some of the things that I'm not too keen on, well, let me think. I'm mostly fine with the camera. Takes a great pic, but sometimes isn't as responsive as I want it to. Example, yesterday I was at a bar and a friend was singing karaoke. Pix were coming out fine, but just not responsive enough. I normally just say "shoot" and it takes the pic, but I knew it wasn't gonna work in a loud bar. That and I'm holding the phone above my head, so I'm pressing the thing. I took about 8 to 10 pix, but only 4 actually took.

Also, voice commands need work. I think that's mostly just a limitation of the technology. Apple has created this illusion that voice commands are some place that they're just not yet.

Also, the keyboard. It's not Swype. I tried Swiftkey and was kinda like, "Why do people like this?" Didn't give it much of a shot, though, to be honest. But anyway, the keyboard on here is better in certain ways, but way too often it's incorrect, or just flat doesn't respond at all to what I've swiped.

LauncherPro Plus doesn't seem to be stable on it. I know that's more on Fede than it is Samsung. I'm trying Nova Launcher now. It's nice, I do really like it, but I miss having a custom dock and their widgets just work better than APW.

All the lil tricks that this phone does seems to need work, too. The tap the phone to go to the top thing seems hit or miss (pun kinda intended). The phone hasn't once stayed awake while I've been looking at since I enabled the setting. The shake phone to rearrange the homescreens rarely works. The unlock saying I setup hasn't worked hardly at all. And I know there's more but I can't think at the moment.

None of these issues keep this from being the best phone on the market, though. I'm overall very happy with the phone, and trust that just about everything is something that can be addressed in time.

Fwiw, my Verizon S3 camera takes horrible photos. Soniamdisappoint.jpg sad to say even my incredible took better photos.

Someone needs to make a list of things we MUST DO after factory rest :)

Yea will true on that your sharing the space but you don't have a limited amount that the apps can take up is what I meant

For my its the little motion things that don't always work. Such as putting the phone to you ear and nothing happens or the smart alert. Sometimes I grab it out of my pocket and it vibes, other times it does not :(
