Help My LG android phone changes my ringtone and I hate that

The other day my LG android phone changed my ringtone to something else and I can't hear calls coming in. I had an old phone ringtone that I liked, and now when I select that ringtone in setting it's plays this other stupid ringtone I don't want.

Even worse, I downloaded new old phone ringtones, and even when I select those in setting it's still plays that stupid new ringtone! I want it to ring like an old phone, but it won't let me even use a new ringtone, and I can't get rid of that stupid thing it replaced it with!!!!

I've tried taking out the battery and rebooting it, and that worked the first time, but it won't work any more and I"m stuck with a ringtone I really hate! What can I do about it?

I have been using Zedge for about 3 years now

Aye I use my own custom ringtone but it's a pretty cool app

Well I got an old ringtones app from Googleplay, and it worked for one call then wanted money. It also keeps pestering me for money sending me notifications, and I can't figure out how to get it out of my phone. It was supposed to be free, but of course that's a meaningless word online, and only means free to install. Why does this have to be such a big hassle? I just want one ringtone. My iPhone was never so much trouble as this thing.

Have you tried the app "Zedge"? I haven't used it in a long time but I don't think it's too spammy

When the 1st app sends you a notification, hold your finger on the notification and it should take you to the apps install screen where you can uninstall it

I just installed Zedge, or at least Googleplay said it would be installed soon. I'll see how that goes.
