Help My Milestone is really getting way too hot!

It does that. Same happens with the Nexus and the Desire, or even the Liquid. Guess that's what happens when smartphones approach netbooks.

I'm on a Telus Milestone and my phone can get quite warm using 3G when I'm calling, but it switches to HSPA for everything else which keeps it cool.

You can't go to 2G on Telus.

It's the battery discharging at high speed that makes it hot.

I noticed that the other day when I accidentally left the GPS on and had the phone in my shirt pocket.
Got much hotter than usual, and the battery was going down faster than usual too.

Turn off anything that you are not using at the time.
Your battery will thank you.:D

actually i think that Motorola Milestone is not meant for internet surfing. It get's so hot, in singapore, thr is free cable viewing on phone, and equally as surfing the net, it gets hot. Compare to the phone i once used' E71, hmmmm... ... ...

Hmmm, the E71 has a much smaller screen, inferior/less powerful hardware, and just all-around an OS that does a lot less. "Hmm" indeed.
