My NEW HTC EVO V 4G still has the Sprint logo?!

when it comes down to it some people including myself would rather have a brand new one instead of one that has been sitting in the warehouse then flashed with vm software.

Plus if your going to be rooting and tweaking your phone anyway, it wont (shouldn't) make a difference.

I had mine since it came out, it has the Sprint branding, but imo, it makes it look like a more expensive phone lol.
 
i woudl think of the sprint branding as a bonus o.O

I think it would be nicer having a phone that has a contract carrier's logo on it rather than a prepaid branding plastered to the back to make it look like it came from virgin :p but thats just my opinion
 
I had a Sprint branded one: nothing but random reboots. Had to send it back.

Got a VM branded one, not a problem now.

Nice thing though: VM told me send back just the front of the phone, so I got to keep the old sprint back cover that has no branding on it so my phone just says HTC on the front, and HTC on the back.

No carrier included ;p

Note: Random rebooting with Stock ROM, and random rebooting with MeanRom (EVO V port). It was bad. No random reboots now.
 
Does anybody have a silver speaker grill on the front of their phone? I have mine with a silver grill, I am just confirming because the plum models do have a silver grill as well.
 
Well my phone has no carrier branding whatsoever. I talked to some of the guys on the Evo 3D Forum and they said that some phone that were sold had the silver grill with no carrier logo.

Yeah my boyfriends phone has the plum model. The problem is that people put cases and that takes away the beauty of the plum model. I mean mine is black and I have gray-black ballistics case.
 
Helllo folks, I been with VM for many years, and they have provided good service to me and my family, every phone will have issues, hopefully fixes and updates will follow. My EVO V don't have the VM branding or the Sprint branding maybe because I've had it for a while but other than that it' the same phone :)
