Help my new s2 over heating

LynneV

Lurker
I seem to have a heating problem with my s2. I got it last week after being an iphone user for a year.

I've not had any over heating issues with my s2 until las t night i put it on charge when i went to bed and woke up to it absolutly boiling at the back near the camera and left side.

Now it's starting to do it even when i just use an app for 5 minutes.
I don't really want to send it back is there anything i can do to stop it hhappening ??

Some phones shouldn't be left on charge over night. Strange that it's boiling hot though, my GT540 gets hot on occasion but only when I charge it or use the internet on it excessively.

I had read that the SII does this. I wouldn't worry about it.

I do worry cos its to hot to touch, and it was on charge 3 hours and was only at 50% charged.

I've been on this forum about 15 minutes & the screen & back of the phone is really really hot :-(

I would honestly take it where you got it from, and explain whats happening. They'll probably exchange it out for a new one.

Thanks!! I've called t mobile & they are sending me another one out in Tuesday :-) can't be good if its over heating like this.

Yeah it's not supposed to be like that. That's why warranty exists, hopefully you have no further problems.

Thank you :-)

i dont even know how to use it!! Ha ha it's so much better than my old iphone 3GS but i don't have a clue what am doing or how to check for update !! X

This forum will be a lot of help to you :) You have a Galaxy S2? I guess it's the international version? If you click the link below and select the phone you have (their alphabetical), then you'll find a lot of phone specific info and tips.
