My note 2 is dead also

My note 2 is dead also. Dead brick style. Was needing a charge and never recovered. I tried all buttons and a robot dude came on and said press up for something so I did it. That's the last I saw of robot man. I did notice it was still on 0% when robot man came on so I suppose it could be the battery but it's only 6 months old and never been mistreated so would you assume battery? :confused:

A lot of people on these forums are good at what they do but need information to help you guys sort your problems out, they are not magicians! Give them all the info and explain it as best you can, to get your answers!
 
Ok sorry it was apart of another thread where they were all talking about these things. But then it got moved to a thread of it's own where obviously then it makes no sense..
So.. My note 2 was close to zero battery and kept turning on and off and on and off while I was out.. samsung white word was coming up. Then it died so I got home and plugged it in but nothing happened. I tried pressing all 3 buttons then an android robot came on but battery still said 0% after it had been plugged in. I can't remember the options other than press volume down for one thing and volume up for another. I pressed volume down and it went off again. Nothing happened. So after awhile I pressed the 3 buttons again and same thing came up but I pressed volume up that time. Still nothing happened. I have had it plugged in for days now and taken battery out and in. Tried buttons again. Taken sim and sd card out and tried again. All nothing. My phone is totally dead now. I have only had it around 6 months and haven't had water on it or dropped it. However actually we recently went camping at the beach for 3 weeks and have been home for around 2 weeks. My phone was mostly in my bag but not always. I wonder if that could have done any damage. However it seems like the battery just died and won't recharge. Would you assume the same thing? Best place to order a new one? Thanks :)
 
So you can't boot at all? You keep mentioning 3 buttons being pressed to get something. What combination of buttons did you press exactly? It sounds like you were accessing the download mode and not the Recovery Console.
 
Hi sorry about the confusion. 2nd post was to another member.. I went and tried a battery out in the shop yesterday and it turned on straight away so I purchased it and now it's been fine! Thanks guys :)
 
When a lith ion batt dies all the way [0% on ur phone is not actualy 0] but with on offs it will kill it. It KILLS IT!

glad u got a new batt.

Next time just pull the battery out and keep it out till u get home.

U wont mess up anything by pulling the battery mid boot while it is doing that. If you could my phone would be dead.
