My Note battery short back up time??

I've been using note for the last two weeks. It's battery back up time is really frustrating me. I checked and rechecked several times and still the back up time is merely 13/14 hours. I did following things:
1. The screen brightness to the lowest level,
2. wifi, GPS, bluetooth disabled
3. didn't play video/audio/camera
4. No SIM card and no calling/messaging. Totally in flight mode.
5. I made sure there was no app running in background except the 'cool reader'. I was reading an e-book in 'cool reader' when doing this experiment for checking back up time.

Even doing all these things give me a stand by time of 13/14 hours. I'm really really disappointed at its so short battery life.I don't understand why the battery drains so fast? Cool reader doesn't consume more than 2-3% of the battery which I found in 'Battery usage'.
What about you guys? How long your note battery works?

Mine if I don't use the internet, messaging or not talking on the phone that much it would last me up to 2days. Average is about a day if I use messages only. But I think yours is an average so you should not worry much. Just carry your charger at all time :) that is what I do just in case I need it.

Well, let me first answer the question: I did a test yesterday where I had the display off, wifi/bluetooth/gps off and data mode off (I still wanted to be able to answer the phone but received no calls). I drained about 40% of the battery over 8 hours or so. Now, I would admit that is a bit heavy battery usage given the fact that it is a 2500mAh battery (epecially when I used to get 2 weeks from my Nokia feature phone with a tiny battery), but I just bought myself a handful of chargers.

I am sort of hoping that ICS will make all things better, hehe I like a good joke.

But if I were you, I would be comforting myself with this thought: How many dual core 1.4GHz laptops can you find that will let you read a book for 14 hours without a charge?

Regards,
Eric.
