Hello everyone in HTC land, can anybody help me please.
I have just lost the use of the top bar on my home screen. It no longer responds when I try to touch or sweep down on it. I think that it stopped working after a recent system update, or maybe that was just coincedental.
The handset is a 2014 one m8.

Hold volume down while powering on until the bootloader screen appears.

Navigate to RECOVERY from HBOOT using the on screen instructions.

Clear cache, then reboot.

Do that before anything else.

If that doesn't fix it, start the phone in safe mode by long press on the power off choice when the power screen appears.

If that fixes it, you have an app or configuration issue, typically the latter if you're rooted.
