Root My Optimus M wont root 2.2.2

I've tried everything with the ginger break and Z4, I don't have a mini usb to connect to my computer so I'm relying strictly on an app that can root for me, is there any way for me to do this? I'm running an Optimus LG M 2.2.2 am I going to have to downgrade? I would have figured since its been over a year they would have found a way to root 2.2.2 or am i not up to date with everything?:confused::confused:

ok, so i bought a USB cord, connected it downloaded the ROOT KIT for OPTIUMUS M made sure my SD card was inserted, Debugging was on and storage was disabled, followed the prompt it said my phone was rooted, but the SUPER USER isn't showing on my phone :mad::confused::mad::confused: what'd i do wrong now?! hah

I believe I also downloaded the driver

I forgot which method i used to root but I think out was ginger break.

It was so long ago but I faintly remember one of the steps was too manually install superuser through the market

Noo...you don't do that. You update super user through market after you see that super user was installed by rooting.
