My personal EVO vs iPhone pro/con

Two things I miss the most with AT&T...

Being able to call and do web-based stuff at the same time over 3G.

App quality (This is not even debatable. I love my Evo, but a perfect example of the app quality for me was the Doodle Jump app for Android over the iPhone version). 4x more expensive and it's a really crappy, jittery, flash-like port of the phone with a lot less features.

The iPhone has been at the app game for a while which is why it's so good... Android is just taking off and I guarantee in 2 years or so the Android Market will get there. Kind of like the difference between Xbox Live and Playstation Network... Xbox Live's quality is top-notch but you have to pay a premium for it (iPhone app store) and the Playstation Network is decent but could be greater and is free to play online (Android).

Just give it time... So far love the Evo, except for the light leakage under he Home and Search button. It just showed up all of a sudden tonight and never saw it before. So idk what's going on...

And a quick note... that guy a few posts above me says about the Apps for the iproducts are all "Apple controlled"... who cares? The point is that they are a lot better than what we have on Android. Say what you want about Apple, but you have to hand it to them to know what is good enough for their platform and release some really nice and polished apps for their products. Like I said before, just give the Marketplace on Android some time and things will get better... I personally can't wait to see how Android grows.

Look up "why should I jailbreak my iphone" in google and you will see why...

I hate when ppl says Iphone has more apps. Yes it has more apps but look how many apps does the same thing. Damn I swear there are over 100+ twitter apps for the Iphone, and this goes for many of the apps.

How bout the facebook app.....I cant stand it! Instead of refreshing once on the home screen to have it fully updated, you have to remember to refresh on each screen...and to look @ your comments you have to open a browser.

The web browsing on the evo is sub par, I cant even access my work hub site that worked fine on my iphone.

Getting tired of Evo vs iPhone stuff. Every time new phone comes out it's that phoned vs iPhone with same pro and con list. This is kinda comical. iPhone....more apps, battery life, blah blah blah.

I know this probably has been said many times but, you do know you don't have to read them?

The same goes for Android Apps. Tons of the same apps. My biggest gripe with Android Apps (note: I came from the iPhone) is the apps in the Android market are just not as high quality as most of the iPhone apps. Two glaring examples are Mlb App on iPhone is way way better than the Android version and Robo Defense on Android against many of the Tower Defense on iPhone. It bothers me that it's such a huge difference in quality.
