Help My phone explorer

I have looked, and maybe I missed it, but I am looking for a decent app to sync my Charge with Outlook and Calendar and ran across myphoneexplorer. I heard that the app myphoneexplorer works but cannot verify this.
Has anyone tried my phone explorer on their i510, and how did it work?

For calendar, use Google Calendar Sync. It's free and it works great with Windows Outlook (I'm in Outlook 2007). Appointments sync flawlessly.

For contacts, I've found it's best to just email .vcf files to myself. In other words, for a new contact I enter into Outlook, I email myself a .vcf (vCard) of that person to my Gmail account and then the phone prompts me to add the contact. For a new contact I've entered into the phone, I email a .vcf to my work email account and then drag the .vcf attachment into my Contacts folder. Simple and effective.

Tasks don't really sync very well with any program in my experience.

Myphonexplorer was too confusing and I just gave up. Same with The Missing Sync - it requires you to use its own proprietary calendar app on the phone, and the calendar app sucks. I'm out like $40 for the POS.

If you want to sync calendar with a Mac, good luck. I don't think there's an effective solution for that yet.

Honestly, as time goes by the lack of a single sync solution bothers me less and less. Between Google Calendar Sync and the simple use of vCards and email, I'm pretty well set.
 
I use MPE to sync with Outlook (not Exchange) .
I don't like the idea of having my personal info, especially contacts, in the cloud.
It's not ActiveSync, but it works. Like any "universal" application, it requires tweaking for your specific requirements. It's free, but I ended up donating, since it's something I use for work.

What is MPE? I can't google it.
