Help my phone is choppy when i rotate phone?

my phone when i rotate to sideways its not smooth.it abruptly just switches & doesnt do it rite away.takes a second.i am not sure if it was like this before the froyo update.any one have a idea?

yeh mine takes more than a second to get back into normal screen but when i rotate to sideways ..it is quick

Try out spare parts app. It has options to control how quickly the phone does its animations. Sorta like windows performance system settings or like a baby compiz if you are a linux user.
